Libya and South Africa Discuss Cooperation on Housing and Urban Development

Minister of Housing and Construction, Essam Al-Tamouni, has held talks with South Africa’s Minister of Human Settlements, Thembi Simelane, on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchanging expertise in housing and urban development.

The discussions covered both ministries’ responsibilities and plans aimed at advancing the housing and infrastructure sectors. Technical presentations by senior officials also provided an opportunity to share best practices.

Both sides agreed to strengthen communication between Libya’s Ministry of Housing and Construction and South Africa’s Department of Research and Studies within the Ministry of Human Settlements to facilitate knowledge exchange and develop practical mechanisms for sustained cooperation.
